Eric is a trooper. He woke up 2am and did not sleep all the way till just before we entered the plane. We took off at 6:30. Eric woke up an hour later. He was acting well on the plane but he could not handle air pressure. We tried to give him water bottle and boobies to make him swallow and maybe teach him how to pop the ears. I don't think he understood that he was inside the plane. Zaika really was surprised to see ground rapidly approach and zoom by as we were landing. We were very lucky that people in front and behind of us were super friendly and entertained Eric playing pick-a-boo with him. Needless to say he fell asleep the instant the head touched the pillow that evening.
We got into the perfect time change storm. First once we arrived Mexico was behind the Toronto 2 hours. This night there was a daylight saving time shift in Toronto. Second we did not have clocks in the room and could not trust our phones. And this is why we missed our orientation meeting with sungwing representatives. Restaurants are hit or miss at this point. He either has really awesome behavior or just plain does not want to be there and raising fuss over smallest thing that bothers him.
Eric got sick :-( running nose and fever. Probably combination of air conditioning and being tired. He did not sleep well mainly because he couldn't breathe well. Nevertheless he played a little in the sand on the beach where you were met nice couple from Montreal. They had a son Cameron, Eric's age. In the evening we greeted or friend Katya, Vitally and Timothy.
Eric still sick. First half of the day we hang out by the kids pool. Eric slept most of the time. Or main source of entertainment was loads of margaritas, mohitos, and serevesas. All of us collapsed for 3 hours for noon nap.
Eric is feeling better. But guess what we've got back. Teething! I did not have bright head either. Used diaper rush cream instead of sun screen. Had to go to the shower. This day we got to swim in the ocean for the first time this trip. YAY! Highlight of the day was a sunset walk on the beach.
Most useless day of them all. Eric was fussy all day. Wherever we went Eric did not like it. Most fun activity was throwing palm little green fruits down into the moat. In the evening main square had a market place. We bought a cigar.
Last full day. This is by far the bestest day of the vacation. Eric is no longer sick. First we discovered fruit loops at the breakfast which allowed us to have nice calm meal together. Second we made a nice family photo at the beach. Played in the send on the beach. Played with the kids by the kiddy pool. Magic fruit loops saved lunch. Mom and Eric went for the day nap and dad read a book with the cigar and a bottle of sparkling wine.
Going back home. The ride home was smooth. Eric slept both on the bus and one hour on the plane.
